Rahmat Lim & Partners is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Kelvin Loh's as Partner of our Firm's Financial Services Department.
Kelvin's primary experience includes acting in respect of and advising on transactions involving mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance in the debt and equity capital markets, initial public offerings, legal due diligence, joint ventures, privatisations, corporate and debt restructurings as well as asset securitisations. Kelvin's corporate practice also includes transactions involving real estate. Kelvin also acts for financial institutions in corporate loans and other financing transactions (both in Ringgit and foreign currency), including Labuan financing transactions.
He has spoken at various conferences and seminars and has presented papers on, amongst others; exchange traded funds, exchangeable and convertible private debt securities, legal due diligence, mergers and acquisitions, risk and damage limitations in commercial contracts and the Listing Requirements of the Malaysian stock exchange.
Kelvin was featured in Malaysia: Who's Who Constitution Government & Politics 2011-2012 Edition.
Kelvin is noted for his expertise in corporate and mergers & acquisitions, capital markets, banking & finance, and real estate & construction in The Legal 500. He is also ranked as a leading corporate and mergers & acquisitions lawyer in Chambers Asia and a leading mergers & acquisitions and capital markets lawyer in IFLR1000.
Kelvin graduated with a double degree in Commerce (majoring in Accounting and Finance) and LL.B. (Honours) from the University of Sydney, Australia. He was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 1999. Prior to joining Rahmat Lim & Partners, Kelvin was a partner in Shook Lin & Bok for more than 4 years.
