Cheryl advises on a broad range of real estate matters, including the acquisition and disposal of various types of real property, leases and tenancies, property joint ventures, real estate investment trusts, colocation and services agreements, and property-based legal due diligence exercises.

She is well versed in the regulatory and legal framework governing land law and real estate transactions, and advises clients on structuring, documenting and executing complex property transactions. Cheryl works closely with clients throughout the transaction lifecycle, guiding them through regulatory requirements and supporting thorough due diligence and compliance.

Her clients include real estate investment trusts, private and public companies, data centre operators, and property developers.

Work Highlights

• Advised Yondr Group to acquire a 72.8 acre parcel of land located in Sedenak Tech Park from TPM Technopark Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Johor Corporation, for the purpose of developing a 200MW hyperscale data centre campus, which would be Yondr’s maiden project in Malaysia. This was the company’s first acquisition and first project in Malaysia.
• Advised VDC in its agreements with Cyberview Sdn Bhd to develop a data center campus in Cyberjaya to provide hyperscale data center services to its customers.
• Advised Semangkuk 2 Berhad to acquire an industrial property via the proceeds from an asset-backed securitization programme for a total consideration of RM826 million.
• Advised various data centre operators on land acquisitions for data centre developments in Malaysia.
