Pui Yee is the Head of the Firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions Department. Her practice focus is on take-overs, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, foreign investments and corporate and commercial transactions. She has been involved in transactions across a wide range of industries including financial services, energy and power, manufacturing, retail and consumer, hospitality and plantations.

Pui Yee is consistently recognised as a Leading Individual in Corporate and M&A by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific, Chambers Global and Chambers Asia-Pacific, and is a Highly Regarded lawyer in M&A by IFLR1000. In Chambers Asia-Pacific, Pui Yee was described as “a leading figure in the market, she regularly acts on major cross-border acquisitions”, and has been praised by sources for being "strategic, giving very commercially sound advice, and is very in tune with the M&A market, not only in Malaysia but throughout Asia”.   • Advised Sarawak State Financial Secretary on the acquisition of 15% shareholding in Malaysia LNG Tiga Sdn. Bhd. from Shell Gas Holdings (Malaysia) Limited.
  • Advised MetLife on its strategic partnership with AMMB Holdings and its acquisition of a stake in AmLife Insurance and AmFamily Takaful.
  •  Advised Jacobs Douwe Egberts B.V. on its pre-conditional voluntary conditional offer and the voluntary conditional general offer for OldTown Berhad, together with the compulsory acquisition of the minority shares in OldTown Berhad (Best Privatisation Deal by The Edge Markets 2018).
