The Allied Health Professions Act 2016 (“Act”) and the Allied Health Professions Regulations (Fees) 2020 came into operation on 1 July 2020.

The Act provides for the establishment of the Malaysian Allied Health Professions Council and seeks to regulate the practice of allied health professions in Malaysia, as defined in the Act. Allied health practitioners who intend to practise in Malaysia are now required to be registered and to hold valid practising certificates.
