Development and construction of state-of-the-art assembly & test facility in Penang
Advising Micron Memory Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. on the first and second phases of the development and construction of its state-of-the-art assembly & test facility for the assembly, testing, and manufacturing of solid-state drives and related facilities (including cold shell facilities) in Batu Kawan, Penang. This includes advising on the tender process, drafting and negotiating the construction contracts, administering the construction contracts, advising on various claims from the contractors and operational issues arising after the completion of the works. The indicative project cost for the development is approximately
USD2 billion (approximately RM8.8 billion), which was constructed on a piece of land located in Batu Kawan Industrial Park measuring approximately 52.6 acres and is expected to bring its total factory space to 1.5 million sq ft.
