Rahmat Lim & Partners recognised at the China Business Law Journal Deals of the Year Awards 2025 for advising on ESR Group privatisation
The HKD55.2 billion (USD7.1 billion) privatisation of ESR Group, the largest take-private transaction on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange since 2021, has been recognised as Deal of the Year 2025 at the China Business Law Journal Deals of the Year Awards.
Rahmat Lim & Partners acted as Malaysian counsel to the consortium comprising Starwood Capital Group, Sixth Street, SSW Partners, the Qatar Investment Authority, Warburg Pincus, and the founders of ESR Group in connection with the privatisation.
Working alongside international counsel and advisers, the firm advised on the Malaysian regulatory aspects of this complex multi-jurisdictional transaction, supporting the successful completion of a transaction that represents a significant development for the region’s logistics and data centre infrastructure sector.
