Rahmat Lim & Partners wins Impact Case of the Year at the Benchmark Litigation Asia-Pacific & China Awards 2026
Rahmat Lim & Partners has won Impact Case of the Year at the Benchmark Litigation Asia-Pacific & China Awards 2026, held in Beijing on Thursday, 2 July, for our role in the Sapura Energy restructuring.
Our team was recognised for its work on the high-stakes schemes of arrangement involving Sapura Energy and its subsidiaries. Handling debts exceeding MYR 12 billion, this stands as one of the largest debt restructurings in Malaysian history and broke new ground on complex, cross-border legal questions.
Our associate firm in Singapore, Allen & Gledhill, also had a strong showing at the awards, taking home a total of seven awards, including Asia Firm of the Year, Firm of the Year – Singapore, and Firm of the Year – Commercial and Transactions, alongside two Lawyer of the Year awards and recognition across two Impact Case of the Year awards.
