Livia’s primary areas of practice cover capital markets, real estate investment trusts (REITs) and mergers and acquisitions. She has experience advising on a broad range of corporate finance and capital markets-related transactions including initial public offerings (IPO), equity securities offerings and transactions requiring shareholders’ approval for public listed companies.

Livia regularly works with issuers, sponsors, underwriters, and institutional investors on both domestic and cross-border transactions. She also advises clients on joint venture/shareholder arrangements, fund and collective investment scheme formation and insurance laws.

In 2019, Livia was seconded to the REITs team of Allen & Gledhill LLP, Singapore, where she was involved in several notable transactions, including the initial public offering of Elite Commercial REIT and acquisitions by REITs listed on the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited.

She has been recognised as a “Leading Associate” in Capital Markets by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific.

Livia graduated from the London School of Economics and Political Science with an LL.B. (Hons) degree in 2014. She was called to the Bar of England & Wales by the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple in 2015 and thereafter joined the firm as a Pupil. She was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2016.

Work Highlights

  • Acted as counsel to the bookrunners and underwriters for the IPO of Prolintas Infra Business Trust, the first business trust in Malaysia.
  • Advised IGB REIT on its acquisition of The Mall, Mid Valley Southkey for RM2.65 billion.
  • Advised Pavilion REIT on its acquisition of Pavilion Bukit Jalil for RM2.2 billion and private placement of new units in two tranches to raise gross proceeds of up to RM1.27 billion.
  • Advised IGB Commercial REIT on its IPO and listing on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad.
