Acquisition by Columbia Asia Healthcare Sdn. Bhd. of 100% of shares in Ramsay Sime Darby Health Care Sdn Bhd
Advised Columbia Asia Healthcare Sdn. Bhd. ("CAHSB”) as Malaysian counsel on the RM5.7 billion acquisition of all of the shares in Ramsay Sime Darby Health Care Sdn Bhd (“RSDH”) from Sime Darby Holdings Berhad and AH Holdings Health Care Pty Ltd. RSDH operates Subang Jaya Medical Centre, ParkCity Medical Centre, Ara Damansara Medical Centre and Bukit Tinggi Hospital in Malaysia.
CAHSB’s acquisition of RSDH is the most substantial healthcare deal in South-East Asia since 2019. The acquisition by CAHSB will deepen the operations of CAHSB in the region. RSDH operates seven hospitals in Malaysia and Indonesia, while Columbia Asia has 22 medical facilities across Southeast Asia with 14 of them in Malaysia.
