Acquisition of land in Sedenak Tech Park and development of hyperscale data centre campus
Advised Yondr Group to acquire a 72.8 acre parcel of land located in Sedenak Tech Park from TPM Technopark Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Johor Corporation, for the purpose of developing hyperscale data centre campus with 300MW of critical IT capacity, which would be Yondr’s first acquisition and maiden project in Malaysia.
Our scope of legal services includes drafting, reviewing and/or advising on the electricity supply agreement and letter of undertaking and indemnity with Tenaga Nasional Berhad, construction contracts for the data centre buildings and consumer substation, substation maintenance contract, consultancy contracts, approvals required for construction, interface between the colocation agreement and construction contract, and participation in renewable energy programme in Malaysia, and ancillary issues arising thereunder.
